Spring / Fall Flea Market / Plant Sales

The Plant Sale was RING's first fundraiser, back in 1990 when the Triangle garden began. We found that coleus, begonias, geraniums and many other plants could find a home for the winter, and we could harvest some cash to help buy next year's seedlings. After a few years, Sherrie Thaler thought of the idea to have a flea market at the same time. This turned out to be a wonderful idea from many points-of-view. Students from Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School became regulars in helping with the flea market and in hawking plants to passersby. Vendors, most of whom are from the immediate neighborhood, come back just for the pleasure of selling at the event. And a lot of usable items are saved from the trash.

The current (2003) Flea Market contact is Nancy Falet.  Spaces for vendors can be obtained by paying a nominal fee in advance plus a deposit that is returned when the space is vacated in spotless condition.
